Google Scholar
I'm interested in a new search option on Google that's currently in beta testing. It's called Google Scholar and searches specifically through academic and professional articles. It also seems to return results for citations of an article/paper even if the cited work isn't indexed by Google. I haven't had much chance to try it out but I'm optimistic because it may be a slight antidote to the enormous slush on the Web. Not that you can believe everything even in professional publications but I believe the odds are much better.
